West County Paramedic Association is the oldest Advanced Life Support service in Erie County

In 1979, West County Paramedic Association was incorporated and began service as a single-staffed volunteer ALS unit making it the first ALS provider in Erie County. Today West County Paramedic is a fully staffed full-time service operating 2 ALS ambulances, 1 BLS ambulance and 2 ALS response units.

The governing board of directors of West County Paramedic Association is made up of representatives from the seven volunteer departments that joined together to found West County Paramedic Association.

The headquarters of the West County Paramedic Association is located at 6852 Meadville Rd, Girard, PA. A satellite base is stationed at Fairview Fire & Rescue’s station 53 located at 7040 West Lake Rd, Fairview, PA.
